Aric Almirola wins Xfinity Series race at Talladega

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is back on action later today for the running of the Sparks Energy 300. He won last fall's race at Talladega. "And like Kyle said, we get paid to drive the race vehicle".

The No. 43 Richard Petty Motorsports Ford of Aric Almirola failed post-race LIS inspection following his fourth-place result. We had really good cars where things happened and we didn't get the finish we deserved.

"I feel bad about the 16-I got into the back of the 16 and tore up a lot of cars", Almirola said ruefully. "I feel like I've made a small impact already being Japanese".

The fact that this track is known for the "Big One" should be all the information you need heading in to this week's race.

It's often been said that NASCAR restrictor-plate racing is like a game of chess.

The performance has provided Blaney with a great deal of confidence coming into the second plate race of the season.

A victor at Talladega in 2014, Hamlin usually races well on restrictor-plate tracks. "Bringing fast cars also has helped". Because what happens behind you affects how your vehicle runs and the draft you get, the surges you get and when you can time it to use that to your advantage. The last two weeks have been rough finish-wise. "We only do this (type of racing) four times a year, so it's hard to be really good at it, or at least it's hard for me". Kevin Harvick was second at 196.439 miles per hour, while Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch and Joey Logano rounded out the top five. Keselowski in particular has risen among the ranks to be who many consider to be the best plate racer in the series. We ran about 10 laps in practice and I said, 'Put it on jack stands.

"We'll definitely have to watch him".
