Packers fans give lift to stranded Davon House to Green Bay

Green Bay Packers defensive back Davon House found himself in a bit of a pickle on Monday night after he missed his connecting flight trying to get back to Green Bay for the team's organized team activities (OTAs) that are set for this week.

But after House expressed his frustration on Twitter, two Packers fans-brothers Chad and Mike Johnson-responded and offered him a ride. I brought a pillow because I knew he had to sleep, you know, he has OTA's in the morning, he's been traveling all day.

"When I took to Twitter, it was like 'What's the worst that could happen?' They might laugh and say, 'Is he just joking?'" an overtired House explained after taking part in Tuesday's practice.

"It's like I was telling my brother on the way home". My brother also tweeted him.

Mike Johnson picked up House at the airport and then he and House picked up Chad on Highway 29. The brothers dropped House off at the Green Bay airport where his vehicle was parked. He has OTAs at 7:30, and here he is at 3:30 in the morning doing this. "I said 'You can sleep, don't feel obligated to talk.' He's like the least he can do is talk to us for an hour or so before he went to sleep".

House, 27, is back with the Packers after two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he registered 77 tackles and four interceptions in 32 games. His one-year deal with the Packers included a $150,000 workout bonus.

"It's important, especially when it's an install day. I think Davon obviously showed that and the importance of being here".

Several players and coaches who worked with House in the past have taken note of his maturity and improved leadership skills. I saw that they retweeted something Mike (Daniels) posted about some Godly stuff, which was good.

Instead, House made a social-media connection with the Johnsons, lifelong Packers fans who also are team shareholders and don't live far from the Twin Cities.
