TIME requests fake Donald Trump covers be removed from Trump golf clubs

In a speech at Central Intelligence Agency headquarters in January, the president said, "I think we have the all-time record in the history of Time magazine". The covers were removed from the clubs in Ireland and Scotland. Of course, there is no secret that Mr Trump always was a vanity person but why does he need a fake cover? There is one small problem though; they aren't all real.

The mock Time magazine cover, featuring Trump prominently, is hanging on the wall of several of his golf resorts.

Time confirmed that the cover was fake. Check it out here.

The cover looked at little off, and after some quick sleuthing it was discovered that it was a fake.

And right on cue, social media lapped it up.

In the lower left corner, beneath Trump's name, a headline reads, "The "Apprentice" is a television smash!"

The revelations about the phoney front page have prompted bemusement in the United States as Mr Trump has genuinely achieved the distinction of appearing on the Time cover on 14 separate occasions. "EVEN TV!" above the Time nameplate.

Seems like the Time cover might be a bit of Fake News! But guess what: he made this cover himself. Nor was there any issue that year where Trump was on the cover. Also, according to the Washington Post, at least one photo taken of the president exists showing Trump sitting in a chair facing the place where the fake cover hangs.

The Post has noted that the phony cover has subtle mistake on it, such as Time's iconic red border, thinner than normal and not lined with white. The fake cover also features two exclamation points - something that a cover from TIME normally wouldn't feature. "Time headlines don't yell", according to WaPo.

"I can confirm that this is not a real TIME cover", Time Inc. spokeswoman Kerri Chyka told the Post.

The official account for Sports Illustrated threw a bit of shade at the US president with this tweet.

"Put yourself on the cover of SI".

He never warned us about fake magazines.

In real news, Trump could soon be on friendlier terms with Time. "Then they did", Fahrenthold tweeted.
