Trump compliments Irish reporter on her 'nice smile'

Caitriona Perry is a Washington correspondent and US bureau chief for RTE News-Ireland. For every "yo, you got a nice smile, baby", shouted by a man on the sidewalk, there's a woman clutching her keys a little bit tighter just in case she needs to fight off an attack. "I bet she treats you well".

Video of the encounter is making the rounds on social media. What an inappropriate, disgusting, misogynistic creep.

The moment quickly went viral after Perry shared it on Twitter.

She told RTE Entertainment: "Usually we would shoot from outside the window of the White House".

He then pointed at the US Bureau Chief and beckoned her to come over with his index finger.

During Taoiseach's Questions Mr Varadkar said he looked forward to renewing the long-standing bonds of friendship between Ireland and Canada.

Trump was speaking to Leo Varadkar, and as members of the Irish press were leaving he said: "We have a lot of your Irish press watching us".

"We have all of this Irish, handsome Irish press", he said.

A possible visit by Trump to Ireland was not discussed, although Varadkar's predecessor had invited the president to visit the country in March.
