Taylor Swift baffles fans by scrubbing all her social media accounts

That means that even the beloved photo of Swift wearing Ryan Reynolds's real Deadpool costume is gone, having been banished from her Instagram account and breaking the hearts of so many fans.

For now, though, we can at least enjoy this vintage birthday-wish tweet from one Taylor Swift to Katy Perry, circa 2009. In addition, she deleted her post-2011 tweets and changed her official website to an all-black screen. Swift's decision did not go unnoticed by her 102 million followers and it has been confirmed that she has unfollowed everyone and blocked out her page on the app. If she were actually sick of social media, though, she would pull a Solange and delete her accounts altogether, so I think this one is less likely. Swift has been rumored to be working on new music, perhaps with a fall release in mind.

According to Pitchfork, #Taylor Swift has sparked rumors that she is releasing a new album soon and that this is merely a publicity stunt to add anticipation to the release.

Swift released "1989" back in October 2014, and the album saw a clear shift in genre.

It appears that the 27-year-old singer might be a guest on the episode of Good Morning America on August 31. Could she be replacing her profile pictures with imagery from an upcoming album?

Swift, who recently won a groping trial against former radio DJ David Mueller, has kept a relatively low profile in recent months. Her new era is upon us!

And another claimed the JavaScript for her website seemed to hint the single has something to do with the blackout because the code quotes her hit single Blank Space and says, "I've got a black space".
