Four Florida teams in AP Top 25 poll; Alabama firmly on top

3, followed by Penn State and USC, who needed double overtime to beat Texas.

The win helped Oklahoma State be named the No. 6 team in the AP's poll, but Oklahoma's victory in Norman didn't impress voters too much.

Ohio State still has the best chances of any Big Ten team, despite a Week 2 loss to Oklahoma. Alabama is still the overwhelming No. 1 choice in both polls, though Clemson's strong performance at Louisville did earn it a boost in first-place votes, and the top 10 in each poll remains mostly unchanged.

Meanwhile, Clemson has been ranked in the top five for 28 consecutive polls, the longest active streak. The SEC and Big 12 each have three teams while the Pac 12 has two.

TCU is the only other team out of the Big 12 among the nation's top 25 teams. The Bulldogs (3-0) entered the poll at No. 17, their first ranking since the 2015 season. Utah was one spot out of the poll last week and is ranked in the AP poll for the first time in the 2017 season, receiving 194 votes. They earned the No. 14 slot this week after being ranked 17 a week ago. Sadly, a late second Hail Mary touchdown pass also sent the rival Florida Gators up in the polls, moving up four spots from the writers and three spots from the coaches.

Washington State (3-0) is 18th, Florida (1-1) is No. 20 and South Florida (3-0) is No. 21.
