Manchester City, Watford have eye on summit

Watford defenders Younes Kaboul and Sebastian Prodl will miss Saturday's Premier League visit of Manchester City through injuries, coach Marco Silva has said.

"We need him", Guardiola told reporters at his pre-match media conference.

The hat-trick from Aguero left the Spaniard claiming that his player should already be widely-known as a Man City legend.

Watford withstood City's early pressure, with goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes saving well from Fernandinho and Christian Kabasele making a superb tackle to deny Aguero a one-on-one after 18 minutes.

They clearly go into the match as favourites, but what is football if not great matches and upsets, and if there was a time for the Hornets to upset the City apple-cart then it would be now, carrying momentum and all-important confidence under Silva's guidance so far this year.

Silva, who has hit the ground running with eight points from a possible 12 since joining Watford, will hope his side can replicate their recent defensive solidity.

Kevin De Bruyne played the role of provider twice himself as Nicolas Otamendi's header and Raheem Sterling's penalty saw City fire a warning to the rest of the league.

Watford's away form is ideal so far, picking up wins at Bournemouth and most recently Southampton on the South Coast - just the second time in their Premier League history that they have achieved that feat - but at home they have taken two points from six on offer.

We can see a lot of goals in this game and are backing on more than 2.5 goals as our prediction.

"Last season we had a problem scoring".

"We scored a lack of goals last season so we thought that maybe they should play together because Gabriel, when he came, was also striker". Watford have been short of wins of late and have a woeful head-to-head record with City which is likely to factor in the outcome this afternoon.

The victory took City to the top of the table, but Manchester United can join it on Sunday with a win over Everton.

And while the attack is the reason you should tune in every time City is on TV, the defense is why club has a chance to win every match.

"The first goal is offside, the second goal we made a big mistake for them to create a goal and again the third goal is offside".

Burnley has picked up away points at three of last season's top-six teams, beating Chelsea on opening day and drawing against Tottenham at Wembley.
