She also detailed her whereabouts, revealing she thought that Stephen was trying to break up with her when he bought her a ticket to the Philippines and wired her $100,000 to buy a house.

Lombardo added: "It's an ongoing investigation and when I say I don't know, I may know ..."

"I was grateful, but honestly I was anxious it was a way for him to break up with me", she said.

Besides the casualties, a total of 489 people were injured in the attack, and 317 have been released from hospitals.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear, but police have said it was "obviously premeditated".

Earlier today, reports surfaced that she had arrived to the United States to speak to investigators.

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents met Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock's girlfriend at Los Angeles International Airport Tuesday night.

Paddock checked into the Mandalay Bay Hotel on 28 September, reportedly using some of Ms Danley's identity documents.

"He remained with our officers, provided him with a key pass to access the door and actually continued to help them clear rooms", said Lombardo.

As of midday Wednesday, there was no indication she was aware of Paddock's plans, the officials said. "She was away so that she will be not there to interfere with what he's planning", one of the women told 7 News on Tuesday.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said it was possible that Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock was radicalized.

The FBI agents will pose two critical questions to Danley: Did she have any idea about what motivated him, and did she have any knowledge of what was about to take place and not alert authorities?

Danley, an Australian citizen reported to have been born in the Philippines, had been sharing Paddock's condo at a retirement community in Mesquite, Nevada, about 90 miles (145 km) northeast of Las Vegas, according to police and public records.

Paddock is believed to have killed himself as the police descended on his room.

Paddock "never said anything to me or took any action" which she understood as a warning of what was to come, she said in a statement read by her lawyer.
