Conor McGregor jumps cage, pushes referee at Bellator event

The incident was made significantly worse however, when referee Marc Goddard tried to rightly stop McGregor from celebrating with his teammate.

Conor McGregor angrily confronted an MMA referee at an event in Dublin on Friday night after jumping into the Octagon. The card, which took place at 3Arena and was headlined by featherweights AJ McKee and Brian Moore, will air Friday evening on tape delay in the U.S.

After Goddard tried to remove The Notorious from the cage, the Dubliner chased the official across the mat despite the attempts to hold him back.

McGregor, 29, was captured on video leaping over the Bellator cage, after Ward (9-3) successfully defeated John Redmond on the Bellator prelims. However, that fight was completely overshadowed by McGregor, who appeared cageside to shout instructions at his teammate along with fellow SBG man Artem Lobov.

McGregor eventually left the cage as the chaos simmered down, but immediately after leaving through the cage door, he went for a run around the cage and pumped up the crowd.

After being removed by security, McGregor attempted to enter the cage a second time - while yelling "that was a f-- stoppage" - and was again forced out.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you're well aware that McGregor mad his much anticipated professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather back in August. But his actions were met with a furious response from McGregor.
