In that attack, Uzbek native and United States permanent resident Sayfullo Saipov, 29, drove a truck through cyclists and pedestrians, killing eight and injuring 12.

Law enforcement officials said that the man is known to have been in contact with Sayfullo Saipov, the man charged in Tuesday's attack.

A second man sought for questioning in regards to the NY terror attack has been found.

The FBI released a wanted poster Wednesday for a second person of interest in the NYC bike path attack that left eight people dead and 12 injured.

The FBI released the name as Mukhammadzoir Kadirov of Uzbekistan, born November 5, 1984.

"We have found him and I'll leave it at that", said William Sweeney, head of the New York FBI office. On Wednesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released a poster saying it was looking for Kadirov, only to announce less than 90 minutes later that it had found him.

Officials say Saipov planned the New York City attack for months and did a test run on October 22. Saipov didn't have many friends, said the official, who wasn't authorized to speak publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Police are asking for the public's help finding a second suspect in connection with Tuesday's terrorist attack in New York City. Late Wednesday, federal authorities filed terrorism charges against him.
