Natural disaster rattles Delhi-NCR

Strong tremors were felt in Delhi NCR followed by a moderate quake which was felt in Uttarakhand on wednesday at about 8:45 pm. According to an officer at Seismology, The epicenter is in Uttarakhand and the tremors felt in Delhi and NCR are the impulses.

According to reports, the epicenter of the natural disaster is 121 km east of Dehradun, in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district. According to the Meteorological Department, natural disaster was recorded at 8.00 pm in the evening.

The quake struck the region at 20:49 (08:49 pm) at a depth of 30 KM.

Tremors were felt in Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and parts of Punjab.

According to reports, medium intensity tremours were felt in Gurgaon, Noida and adjoining areas of Delhi for almost three seconds.

There were no reports of loss of property or life. It falls in the Himalayan region.

However, reports are coming that the impact of the natural disaster was not so remarkable even many have not felt it. Dehradun reports suggested no casualties.
