Not as cold tonight; cloudy skies through the weekend — FIRST ALERT FORECAST

By the evening we will dip into the 40s with a clear sky. It will be slightly warmer overnight.

A cold front will swing through the area early this morning bringing breezy and cooler conditions for your Tuesday.

THURSDAY: Another sunny day.

The high temperature is expected to reach only 52 degrees today in Sterling, according to the National Weather Service.

The rain chances are still low for the first half of the weekend.

It will be a cold morning with temperatures 15 degrees colder under a clear sky and with light south winds under 5 miles per hour.

Sunday's rain chances remain at 40%.

As the ridge of high pressure pushes eastward, we'll start to see the return flow off of the Gulf of Mexico setting up toward the end of the week.

Tonight's skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Winds will be mostly calm through the day but shift to the south and pick up overnight. Therefore, we do have the chance to have a few pop up showers. Highs on Monday will be in the mid 60s.

THURSDAY: It looks dry Thursday with a mix of clouds and sun.

Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 57. We then clear up and cool down Wednesday. Be sure to keep tuning in for when the next big cool down will take place.
