OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition channels the Force in smartphone form

There have been rumors about OnePlus teaming up with Walt Disney owned Star Wars franchise for a special limited-edition OnePlus 5T in the past, but today, at the ongoing Comic Con event in Bangalore, India, OnePlus officially teased the same.

Apart from those changes it looks to much the same product as the OnePlus 5T we've reviewed and cited its premium look, high-end performance and Face unlock as the highlights of the phone. You can be a part of the launch event by purchasing tickets via Paytm. Now it has followed it up with a Star Wars Limited Edition phone. The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition will be making its debut in India on December 14, one day before the theatrical release of The Last Jedi. The phone will ship with default Star Wars themes, ringtones, and effects. It will feature customized software themed on Star Wars, and a redesigned exterior featuring a white finish on the back of the device with a black OnePlus logo under the fingerprint sensor and a red Star Wars logo adorning the bottom. The report also suggests that the device will be launched on December 16 at an event in Mumbai. Through Amazon.in, at the OnePlusStore.in, and at the OnePlus experience zone in Bengaluru and Noida. There appears to be a red alert slider that is in contrast to the white and black design. For example, do you remember the OnePlus 3T Colette Edition which was made available only in France? OnePlus will gain more buyers for its newly launched handset, and the Star Wars distributors will achieve a wide range of promotion for their upcoming movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Due to the popularity of the Midnight Black color, the same was released as a standard edition with the OnePlus 5.

The OnePlus 5T runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and it is unknown whether the OS has received an update to Android 8.0 out of the box unlike the recently launched phones like Sony Xperia XZ1 and the HTC U11.
