Overwatch Winter Wonderland Event Returns Next Week With More New Skins

The Overwatch seasonal event Winter Wonderland is returning this year on Wednesday, December 13th AEDT/NZDT and will be available across all platforms. Starting December 12th, players will be collecting holiday skins, throwing snowballs, and celebrating the festivities together. Also making a comeback in this year's edition of the Winter Wonderland Event is the "Mei's Snowball Offensive". We should note that last year's Winter event ended in early January, and we'd expect this year's event to run into the new year as well. Kaplan announced a new game mode in the developer update, this one once again featuring Mei.

The supposed Hanzo "Punk" skin. The latter will be getting the appropriate holiday decorations along with Kings Row and Hanamura who got theirs past year.

Blizzard Entertainment has got in the Christmas spirit early with confirmation of the Overwatch Winter Wonderland event. For 2016's Winter Wonderland story content, Blizzard released a holiday-themed comic called Reflections. We get to see McCree and Sombra at a bar, Genji writing a note to Mercy, and Reinhardt spending time with Torbjorn's family. What's new here is it's expanding to the Black Forest map too, and a change in scenery is always a nice addition to have.

Finally, a completely new game mode will be Mei's Yeti Hunt - an asymmetrical 1 v 5 boss fight.

Last but not least is Mei's Yeti Hunt.

The new Yeti Hunt event will task five players, each playing as Mei, to snare Winston on the Nepal map.
