Kendrick Lamar and SZA Dropped a New Song Together for Black Panther

Next in line Black Panther is hitting theatres next month, and it just hammered the final nail into the marketing coffin for me. Barring Captain America, of course, who is nearly honorable to a fault.

The first song off the "Black Panther" soundtrack has now officially been released. He's actually curating and producing Black Panther: The Album, and the lead single - by Kendrick and SZA - has dropped. Pretty catchy, wouldn't you say?

Internationally-celebrated Grammy® Award-winning global superstar Kendrick Lamar and Billboard Magazine's Executive of the Year, Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, are set to curate and produce "Black Panther: The Album".

Lamar and Tiffith will collaborate with Coogler directly in the creation of music specific to the needs of the film.

Kendrick Lamar first teased that he was working on Black Panther in a music video for a song off his latest album.

Lamar is also making his debut contributing music to a motion picture. "I can't wait for the world to hear what Kendrick and TDE have in store", the film's director Ryan Coogler said.

What do you think about the first song from the Black Panther soundtrack? The superstar rapper was drawn to the project by the movie's "marriage of art and culture".

Lamar discussed the gig in a statement, saying, "Marvel Studios' Black Panther is incredible, from its cast to its director".

"Black Panther", the 18th movie in Marvel's sprawling film franchise, features an all-star black cast, including Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira, among others.
