Liverpool manager Klopp rules out January exit for Emre Can

We conceded soon after half-time and it was avoidable.

"It's all about Huddersfield against Liverpool and we are both in a situation where we need the points".

Speaking at his post-match news conference on Saturday, Klopp said: "We should try [to win at Huddersfield] but first we have to really think about what happened tonight and make ourselves ready for Huddersfield".

Liverpool, fourth in the league, visit 14th-placed Huddersfield Town on Tuesday. It is a big difference because they are only one year in the Premier League.

"We have to find immediately (a way back) to the winning track, we need results to reach our targets, we know that".

The 28-year-old England global has made nine league appearances this season but Klopp said he would only be allowed to leave Anfield if the deal was right.

Klopp and David Wagner were team-mates at Mainz. It is unlikely there will be a repeat tonight as Huddersfield look to avenge the loss at Anfield.

"Yes it is different and he's special as well", Wagner said. We have a relationship and a friendship which is extraordinary but tomorrow night at eight o'clock, this does not matter. It is not only between him and me but between our families as well. But at 8pm, this doesn't matter.

Liverpool FC are now in fourth place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification for the second season running under their German manager.

"We have to use our players". That is the nature when your best friend is in the same division and country. "But not this week". "We will see the reaction, go to Huddersfield, watch the game".

Lallana has endured a torrid campaign that was plagued by a serious hamstring injury and he made just seven appearances in all competitions before picking up the injury last week.
