Bordeaux and their new manager Gus Poyet have ruled out winger Malcom leaving the club in January.

- Reuters picSOUTHAMPTON, Jan 22 ― Mauricio Pochettino dismissed talk of a potential £200 million (RM1.09 billion) Real Madrid bid for Harry Kane after the England striker scored his 99th Premier League goal in a 1-1 draw at Southampton.

Kane hit a hat-trick in the reverse fixture but he could not reach his three-figure landmark as Spurs, in the absence of ill creative midfielder Christian Eriksen, toiled at a sodden St. Mary's.

"It was an even game, a hard game to play", he told Sky Sports. It was fair, the result. We still play at home to Manchester United and Arsenal so we have it in our own hands.

"We needed to move the ball quicker and create more, we made a lot of mistakes".

"He has said he wants to play in the Premier League one day". This allowed us to be more aggressive in transition and use our full-backs going forward.

Despite having chances to win the game late on, Spurs were forced to settle with a point and rue not creating enough chances throughout the 90 minutes.

"We still have the possibility to fight [for the top four]".

SouthamptonManuel Pellegrino says he does not fear the sack at Southampton and has backed his side to pull clear of trouble.

"It is important if we are going to take points and win the games, be sure that we are going to fight and if not, it will be hard".

At the start of the weekend, the Saints find themselves 17th, knowing that if results don't go their way, they could be in the relegation zone by the time they kick off.

"I think he's a really fast player", said Pellegrino in his post-match interview. It is also 11 league games without a win. Stephens was wide with a header from an excellent Ward-Prowse delivery as the half drew to a close, before the same player drew a good low save from Vorm at the start of the second period. Christian Eriksen and Hugo Lloris both miss the match with flu-like symptoms, which they apparently picked up while on the team's training camp to Barcelona. We did get into the game afterwards but we didn't control the game the way we wanted to.

"For me every single game is an opportunity to improve". In three or four weeks time everything can change.
