The First Ant-Man And The Wasp Trailer Is Here

Marvel's debuted the teaser trailer and poster for the 2018 Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly.

Ant-Man and The Wasp has been directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña and Academy Award victor Michael Douglas, who all return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, Tip "T.I". Fishburne will portray Bill Foster, Pym's former assistant, while Pfeiffer is expected to portray Janet van Dyne, Hope's mother and Pym's missing wife.

This morning saw the release of the first Ant-Man & the Wasp trailer, teasing the arrival of Hope van Dyne as the MCU's newest hero.

Whilst it looks as though Scott Lang's actions in Captain America: Civil War will be an integral part of the story it also seemingly confirms that this film will take place before Avengers: Infinity War, despite the fact that is released two months after. Not only is Scott under house arrest, but shrinking-suit inventor Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Hank's daughter and collaborator, Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), are forced to go on the run.

Directed by Payton Reed the movie also stars Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Abby Ryder Fortson, Tip "T.I". Michael Peña's Luis makes an appearance too and T.I.'s character Dave is confirmed to return as well.

With Reed's background in comedy and with the Ant-Man franchise being Marvel's most comedic, expect more nods like this to appear.

Ant-Man and the Wasp flies into theaters on July 6th. Am I the only one to think that Ant-Man and the wasp has some similarity with the Harry Potter universe, especially the scene where a building turns into a suitcase! The Clueless actor has now portrayed the superhero, whose real name is Scott Lang, in Ant-Man and Captain America: Civil War, and is due to reprise his role for Avengers: Infinity War.

We get a brief glimpse of the villain of the film, Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen.
