Nokia 3310 4G Launched : Check complete specifications

HMD Global has upgraded its Nokia 3310 dumphone with 4G smarts. Apparently, it's been working well for them because the company is now introducing a 4G version of the phone in China.

Back in September 2017, HMD Global launched the 3G variant of the revived Nokia 3310.

Pricing and global release dates have not been announced at this stage but expect to hear more at the end of February from MWC 2018.

Nokia is known to offer phones in vibrant colours and this one comes in Fresh Blue and Deep Black.

Both, the Nokia 3310 4G and the JioPhone comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display running at 320×240 pixels. On top of that, the Nokia 3310 4G even lets you turn the device into a WiFi hotspot.

Currently, the Nokia 3310 4G has been listed as only a single SIM smartphone, while we do expect Nokia to reveal the dual-SIM variant of the phone in the next few days. Barring that, Nokia 3310 4G variant in China comes pre-loaded with popular apps for music, books and audiobooks.

The older versions of the 3310 ran on Java-based Feature OS but the 4G variant will run on YunOS. Compared to last year's model, the Nokia 3310 4G is slightly taller and thicker. In terms of imaging, it sports a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash. It will now amount to 512MB of internal storage. However, the device gets a MicroSD card slot which can accommodate a memory card of up to 64GB.

It's unclear how much the Nokia 3310 4G costs in China and if the company has any plans of launching it in other markets across the globe. As for battery life, Nokia claims the removable 1,200 mAh battery can deliver up to 15 hours of talk time on 2G, 8 hours on 3G and 5 hours on 4G VoLTE.

Reports have suggested that Nokia could build on the successes of past year and not just announce a flagship in the form of Nokia 9, but cut across budget segments and unveil the Nokia 1 - expected to be its cheapest Android smartphone yet.

The phone has Wi-Fi connectivity and can be used as a mobile hotspot.
