After donning his father's No. 22 Phoenix Suns jersey during Saturday's Slam Dunk Contest, Cleveland Cavaliers center Larry Nance Jr. will make a permanent number change. The Cavaliers' leader didn't change.

James finished with 18 points, 11 assists and 14 rebounds.

Moments after a controversial review gave the Washington Wizards possession of what had originally been ruled a jump ball, the Cleveland Cavaliers surrendered a layup to Otto Porter Jr. off an inbounds play, which seemed to serve as the dagger of what was ultimately a 110-103 Washington win.

Cleveland was able to rebound after a tough loss to the Wizards at home last night. That's what we talked about. "That's it", Clarkson said of the Cavaliers' adjustments to new teammates.

"Where I am now, I think we can be really good. We've got a ways to go, but we're coming".

Tyreke Evans and JaMychal Green each scored 15 points to lead Memphis, which turned the ball over 21 times.

The Cavs showed a bit of fatigue to start the game, perhaps a dose of travel hangover from getting to town late after Thursday's loss.

The Cavaliers star said, according to Joe Vardon of "I think we played well tonight, even though we lost".

ORLANDO, Fla. - Trey Burke came off the bench with a season-high 26 points and six assists to help the New York Knicks break an eight-game losing streak with a victory over Orlando.

"It's a learning experience", Cleveland head coach Tyronn Lue said after the game.

"During timeouts, I was telling the guys - especially at halftime - 'I don't know how we're up, but we're up after playing a bad half of basketball,"' Lue said, adding that the second half was much better defensively. Memphis led by as many as 13 points in the opening quarter.

James reached his triple-double with about 4 minutes left in the third, on an assist leading to a 3-pointer by Cedi Osman.

Cleveland delivered the knockout punch in the fourth quarter, building its lead to 22 points at 100-78 with 5:31 remaining in the game. Like I said, we got 20-plus games left to try to figure it out.

Come on Ty, you have to remember?

The Cavs also blocked a season-high nine shots (Hill had three, Nance had two) and held the Grizzlies to 42.9 percent in the paint (18-for-42), accounting for Memphis' worst showing that close to the bucket all season. The most games James played before resting was in 2008-09 when he played the first 81 before sitting out the season finale. Between clashing styles on the court and personalities off of it, Cleveland lost 13 of 19 games between Christmas and February 6 in a stretch that general manager Koby Altman eventually referred to as "marching a slow death".
