Rumor: Buffalo Bills aren't ready to pull trigger on draft trade

Chubb could make a deadly pairing with last year's first-overall draft selection, Myles Garrett, who had a bit of an injury-riddled rookie season but was productive when he was on the field, displaying the obvious potential that resulted in him being the near-unanimous favorite to be the top pick in that class. The Jets' decision to move into the top three signals the start of a quarterback arms race in the National Football League, as NY reportedly plans to use the No. 3 overall selection on a quarterback, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. Indianapolis still might be able to land the promising pass rusher at No. 6, especially if three or more quarterbacks are taken in the first five spots. That's a whole lot of draft capital. Now that the Jets have traded up, to what can be expected as a quarterback, what should the Bills do? He connected on 64.4% of his passes in 2014 with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, earning Pepsi Rookie of the Year honors and being named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team. The Browns are poised to select Saquon Barkley with the top pick and the Giants may select a quarterback, but why should they? Joining them is Ethan Pocic, who was selected in the third round of the 2017 National Football League draft.

The Colts got three second-round picks to move back just three spots. The Browns pick again at No. 4 in this year's draft. Presumably, it's to improve their odds of landing whichever of the fab four rookie passers they fancy most - USC's Sam Darnold, Wyoming's Josh Allen, UCLA's Josh Rosen or Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield. There is also speculation that the Jets will look to draft Bradley Chubb. The Jets should have been willing to pay nearly any price for Kirk Cousins, and now should be willing to pay through the nose for a draft quarterback.

If the Bills somehow do move up and keep the No. 22 overall pick, that extra money will be extremely helpful.

The Colts were never going to select a quarterback as long as they have Andrew Luck. If I were general manager Mike Maccagnan, I would be perfectly satisfied with Allen on my roster, if it comes to that. "I think we are going to get some speed in the defensive backfield". The Jets move from six up to three allows them to pick the guy they want instead of taking what is left over at six.

The #New York Jets pulled the trigger on a deal to move up to the No. 3 position in the 2018 #NFL Draft. The recently retired, and future Hall-of-Fame offensive tackle Joe Thomas blocked for an astounding TWENTY different starting quarterbacks over his career.

The Giants have been really quiet this off-season and draft rumors have been wide-spread but scarce.

"We will still be open if the right opportunity presents itself at 6 to move down, but right now we feel pretty good", Ballard said. The four teams mentioned above stand to benefit the most here.
