Eagles Trade Out Of First Round With Baltimore Ravens

However, there are problems with Jackson's game. The highlight reel that this dual-threat superstar put together in college is longer than the director's cuts of the entire Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit franchises combined.

Jackson was there when the Bengals made their selection at 21 and they passed on him for Ohio State center Billy Price. The Ravens also traded down with the Kansas City Chiefs at pick 86 and got their 3rd round pick at pick 75 while getting another 4th round pick by trading down again.

Andrews also won OU's first Mackey Award after a redshirt junior season where he averaged 15.5 yards per catch and scored eight touchdowns. He completed 57 percent of his throws for his career. Has he improved through the years? Buffalo traded up to No. 7 and drafted Wyoming's Josh Allen. In a nod to his own Hall of Fame playing career, he selected two pass-catching tight ends, including first-rounder Hayden Hurst, to fill the most pressing need on the roster. Some analysts seem to believe Jackson is a one-read-then-run quarterback who can't manage a pocket under pressure.

Jackson was the fifth quarterback off the board, but he might have the most upside. And Jackson accomplished this feat twice (in 2016 and 2017).

Both Josh Jackson and James Daniels will have to wait one more day for that priceless moment.

Incumbent starter Joe Flacco is a Super Bowl champion and has held the Ravens' starting gig since he was selected with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. The only way to describe that: game-breaking.

The Eagles, without a second- or third-round pick heading into the draft, sent the pick to Baltimore in exchange for the 52nd overall pick in the second round and pick No. 125 in the fourth round. Brown was taken with the 83rd overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens, his late father Orlando "Zeus" Brown's team.

In Baltimore, Jackson has the opportunity to be brought along slowly behind Flacco, who has another four years on his deal. For one thing, he's going to be paired with offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, who spent several seasons in Philadelphia working up close and personal with Michael Vick.

Hurst has a different story than most National Football League players and prospects. Jackson was the last of the group to be drafted. Five picks later, Miami drafted Alabama defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, who grew up in Old Bridge (Middlesex County) and played for St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City). If a team isn't getting better in the National Football League, it's getting worse.
