Los Angeles Finishes Sixth Round by Selecting Demby, Joseph, and Young

All of the Rams' picks came from other teams, either through trades or as compensatory selections. Increased depth and competition at safety could be an aim with undrafted free agents.

The Rams rounded out the sixth round with three picks in fairly quick succession, selecting offensive lineman Jamil Demby, defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph, and outside linebacker Trevon Young.

"I'm pumped. This is a blessing".

The Des Moines, Iowa, native started appeared in 36 career games - making 20 starts - in three seasons after transferring to Louisville from Iowa Western Community College. He was just the sixth Black Bear player to attend the combine.

Kiser was the first UVA player drafted by the Rams since the team took Chris Long with the second overall pick in 2008. What he was able to do, not only here with the Rams, but also, I remember watching him with the Broncos as well.

At 6-foot-2, 253 pounds, Okoronkwo wasn't considered to have quite the size of length needed to a be prototype National Football League linebacker, but Okoronkwo used his natural strength to become the Big 12's co-defensive player of the team and a Second Team AP All-American as a senior. I've blitzed the passer a lot, I've played pass coverage a lot. The Rams traded inside linebacker Alec Ogletree to the New York Giants, so they're looking for a new starter alongside Mark Barron. Just a few minutes after they drafted Kiser, the Rams traded two sixth-round picks to move back into the fifth round, at No, 160, and draft Okoronkwo, an edge rusher out of Oklahoma.

In a win over Wake Forest, Young had a career game - producing 3.5 tackles for loss and tied a career high with 3.0 sacks. He had 3.5 tackles for loss against Pac-12 opponent Cal and was named First Team All-Big Sky.

He's not Alvin Kamara 2.0 coming out of Tennessee, but Kelly is a fine running back prospect that can make an impact both as a runner and as a receiver out of the backfield. So, I've played special teams, I've played defense.
