The Roseanne Premiere Set a New Time-Shifted Viewing Record

The premiere broke records, having almost 22 million viewers. Larry King raved about the Roseanne reboot in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on Tuesday, April 3.

"And that doesn't even include the additional 4.3 million viewers who tuned into an encore telecast on Sunday night - or the growth it will see from Hulu and ABC streaming", The Hollywood Reporter pointed out.

King also poked fun at 65-year-old Barr's legendary performance of "The Star Spangled Banner" at a baseball game in July 1990.

The premiere episode of the Roseanne revival continues its wave of popularity by setting a major new viewing record. "And, in fact, it was working class people that elected Trump, so I felt that was very real and something that needed to be discussed".

According to The New York Times, President Donald Trump called the Emmy-winning actress and show creator to congratulate her on the return's success.

While Trump said the show's major ratings were because "it was about us", reflecting the average American, Jabbar said, "the show he's boasting about relentlessly criticizes him and his policies more ruthlessly than nearly any other program on television".

The ABC series, "Roseanne", returned to TV this week after more than 20 years.

Some insiders think it's not possible for the show to match last week's overnight rating of 18 million.

"Unfortunately for Trump supporters, Roseanne is like that cinnamon roll in which some people claim to see the face of Jesus", he writes. Or to remind her that in 1992, Roseanne Barr said that Roseanne Conner would never talk on the show about how she voted.

"Hey, Roseanne, if you are watching, we would love to have you on the show", co-host Steve Doocy said.
