Taylor Swift visits 8-year-old Phoenix burn survivor in hospital

McCune's burns will keep her from attending Swift's tour opener in Phoenix on Tuesday, so the pop star brought a little ray of sunshine to her young fan in a hospital visit.

So, she recorded a video from her hospital bed, asking the pop superstar to pay her a visit.

According to her mother, Lilly McCune, her daughter finds hope and comfort in Swift's songs, often listening to them while doctors change the dressing on her wounds.

Isabella was stunned to see her idol walk through the doors of her room in a hospital gown, much to the delight of Lilly and the youngster's father, JD, and brother Zachary.

According to the report, T. Swift also extended an open invitation to the burn victim to attend any concert once she was better!

"She was about to leave and I said 'Taylor, can I have a hug?' And she said, 'Yeah!" "I heard you were here and I wanted to visit you, but maybe you can come and visit me".

Accompanying Swift were her parents, Scott and Andrea: "They were the sweetest people, and it meant so much to my husband and me as parents", Lilly McCune, Isabella's mother, told People. I knew it meant a lot to Isabella'.

Feeling lucky: 'For foster/adoptive families she gave us a private show, freedom to roam around the Cardinals stadium, bought everyone pizza, picture with us, and everyone got an autograph.

McCune was, of course in shock when her favorite singer showed up.

Lilly also said that Isabella wasn't just your run-of-the-mill fan, but rather Taylor's music helped her through her treatment at the hospital.

The McCune family says Isabella suffered third-degree burns over 65 per cent of her body when a fire erupted at a neighbourhood party on St Patrick's Day in March.
