With World Cup looming, Neymar admits he's scared

"I felt good, at ease", he wrote on Facebook this week.

Brazil will need him showing all the skills that made him the world's most expensive footballer, with a record 222 million euros ($264 million) transfer from Barcelona to PSG last August.

As coach Unai Emery takes charge of his final game before being replaced by Thomas Tuchel, Neymar Jr will also be absent as he continues his recovery from a fractured foot in time to boost Brazil's World Cup challenge.

"It encourages me to see Madrid again in the Champions League final and to see them win".

But the 26-year-old striker has sought to play down the talk of another move.

Neymar got injured on February 25 in a match between PSG and Marseille in Ligue 1.

"It would be a big blow for all the fans", Messi told TyC Sports. "And on a football level, it would make Madrid much stronger than they already are".

We may not see Messi and Neymar team up for Barcelona anytime soon, but the two global superstars may very well lock horns at the upcoming World Cup in Russian Federation.

As a result Neymar missed out on PSG clinching the league and cup double, as well as the second-leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie with Real Madrid.

Messi, the five-time World Player of the Year, also said he was looking forward to the tournament in Russian Federation and was targeting at least a semi-final place with Argentina.

"I was a bit anxious I might not be ready in time but after I had the scans, they told me about the surgery, how long the recovery would take, and that helped to calm me down", Neymar said. "I want to be a champion every year", he concluded.

Messi and Ronaldo are without doubt the greatest players of the current era and arguably of all time, but there is a long standing debate about who among the two is better.
