We're at WWDC 2018 and here's how to follow along with us!

Nonetheless, here are a few things we expect Apple to unveil at WWDC 2018.

Apple TV users can visit the Events app to watch the live stream, given that it's second generation or later. Apple traditionally releases it new phone models in September, but the first iPhone SE was launched in March 2016, though at a separate event.

So what's in store for WWDC 2018?

According to MacRumors, other changes coming in iOS 12 include support for cross-platform apps, a feature that will allow developers to design a single app that will work on iPhones, iPads and Macs; enhanced animoji support including new animoji characters and support for Facetime; expanded near-field communication capabilities that would allow developers to access the NFC chip in an iPhone for enhanced payment support functionality; and horizontal support for Face ID.

In augmented reality, users are allowed to see superimposition of virtual structures [images generated by computer] on the real world through a device, usually smartphones.

There are rumours from multiple sources that the upcoming iOS 12 will be focused on improving the stability and performance of the mobile operating system, rather than implementing more flashy features that users do not usually use.

Despite fully fledged iOS apps making their way to macOS, Apple is planning on bringing elements from iOS and UIKit and adapting them to work on macOS. Apple has been emphasising the HomePod's high-fidelity acoustics, including the ability to pair two devices in stereo mode, in an effort to distinguish its product from Google's and Amazon's speakers, which primarily serve as hubs for those companies' voice-activated assistants.

Bloomberg says the new additions will help monitor the amount of time people have spent on certain apps. Apple's services division, which generates revenue from subscriptions, commissions and maintenance plans tied to Apple devices, already has become the fastest growing piece of the massive company. Notably, the Animoji feature is now limited to Apple iPhone X.

Beginning with its new MacBook models, Apple will reportedly carry out direct pricing negotiations for the screws and assorted non-key metallic and plastic parts used on its devices, which are now purchased directly by its contracted supply partners. The company may launch a wireless charging pad called the AirPower that it announced past year. Federighi has squashed any speculation that Apple would introduce a touchscreen Mac by saying he's "not into touchscreens" on desktop computers, and likely never will be.

We'll be updating this page with all the latest news from the keynote, so check back for the official news on Monday.
