Puel Confident Harry Maguire Will Remain At Leicester City

The Argentina global did not go on United's tour to the USA owing to an injury sustained at the World Cup, and will be allowed to leave by José Mourinho.

Jose Mourinho's side are thought to be considering a bid in the region of €70million, but Leicester will hold firm on any approach for their centre back.

25-year-old Maguire was a revelation as England reached the semi-finals in Russian Federation.

"I think we can keep both players", Puel recently told reporters.

"If we have another surprise before the end of the pre-season, it will be tough".

Harry Maguire was one of nine names considered by Manchester United to fill their central defensive void this summer.

Leicester City manager Claude Puel has gone on record to say Maguire and also goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel will not leave King Power Stadium this summer, despite the litany of reports linking them to moves around the Premier League.

"He's very happy to play at Real Madrid", said Lopetegui. "He was angry about being without his worldwide players and the difficulty to prepare his game", he told reporters. We have the capacity and the ability to keep our best player and to continue to improve and to perform together, Puel added.

"We can not lose players just a few days before the beginning of the season".

To change the scene before the start of the season is not possible.

"Leicester want £50m for Maguire after his performances at the World Cup". "He's happy to be here, this is a fantastic opportunity for him to show his talent".

Maguire and striker Vardy are expected to return to Leicester this week as the East Midlands club prepares for its season-opening EPL trip to Manchester United on August 10.
