Chiefs emerge as trade candidate for Earl Thomas

At his press conference Friday, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Thomas missed practice due to a "personal issue" and his status for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys is in question.

The Cowboys represent a significant opponent for the Seahawks and Thomas, as they were connected in trade rumors this offseason.

It was a awful day for the Cowboys' starting running back. "Me being a leader on the team, me being a better player on this team, I got to do a better job of taking care of the ball".

The Hawks won't be the only ones in the Earl Thomas sweepstakes, as he has been linked to the Cowboys for quite some time.

Carson was on this list last week, and makes a return in Week 3. "Did well in the run game, but overall, I dropped the ball".

Prescott was intercepted twice by Thomas, including with 3:09 remaining at the Seattle 15 on a deflected pass, with Thomas bowing to the Dallas sideline at the end of the play.

Carson finished with 102 yards, the first Seattle running back to top 100 yards since late in the 2016 season.

Thomas added that he expects to be fined, telling reporters, "I'm sure I'll have a slip in my locker". The team played from behind for most of the game.

ESPN's Adam Schefter says the chances of Thomas getting dealt to the Cowboys now is a "super long shot".

Of possibly having played his final game for Seattle, Thomas said Sunday, "I don't know if it was, but I had a damn good time, and I'll go out like that, if I have to".
