First iPhone XS, XS Max drop and liquid tests hit the web

First iPhone XS, XS Max drop and liquid tests hit the web

The same phenomenon took place in Singapore when numerous people flocked in front of an Apple store waiting for the release of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.

iPhone fans began lining up outside the Apple Store at Westfield Century City at 2 p.m. Thursday in anticipation of the phone's debut Friday.

Apple is boasting that these are their most powerful devices to date but before you rush to buy one it's worth noting that another new, and slightly cheaper iPhone, is coming soon.

Doors opened at 8 am with shoppers excited for their latest iPhones.

Apple expert Kuo Ming-chi expects the United States tech giant to ship between 75 million and 80 million new iPhone models in the next 12 months, with the XR model accounting for 55-60% of sales with the more expensive Max accounting for about a quarter of total sales.

TechSmartt dropped the iPhone X (last year's model), the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max from an unofficial pocket height, head height and around 10 feet onto a tennis court.

While the previous iPhone, too, had a camera and music player, Tim Cook insists that the ones on the new devices are the most advanced yet.

Both the iPhone XS and XS Max sports a dual-lens 12MP +12MP (wide+telephoto) camera setup at the back along with a 7MP selfie camera.

Apple introduced the more affordable variant of iPhone X- iPhone XR- which starts at Rs 76,900 (64GB variant) in India.

It said the larger models with the smallest storage capacity also did not do well, with the 64GB iPhone XS Max being resold at HK$1 more than the original price. Rather than persuading users to upgrade to the most advanced, expensive phone each year, Apple's goal these days is to steadily raise average prices, while expanding the total number of active devices to support sales of accessories and digital services like streaming music and video. The iPhone XR also gets portrait mode and depth control, just like the iPhone Xs.

When we went hands-on with the iPhone XS and XS Max, we were mainly struck by how similar they felt to the iPhone X-particularly the iPhone XS.

Apple also introduced iPhone XR. You don't have a separate one anymore. All this lets you save $800 on your new Apple smartphone, although savings aren't instant, instead being offered as bill credit over 30 months.

The lower prices reflect the abundant supply of the new iPhones, which were shipped to China starting on Tuesday.
