Who are U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's accusers?

A third woman stepped forward Wednesday to accuse Supreme Court hopeful Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

"I tried to yell for help", Christine Blasey Ford will tell United States lawmakers, according to prepared testimony that she will deliver at a high-profile hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. "They have been seared into my memory and have haunted me episodically as an adult", she says in her eight-page opening testimony obtained Wednesday by U.S. media.

Kavanaugh released a statement denying the new charges.

Kavanaugh replied that he doesn't even know Swetnick and that her accusations are "from the Twilight Zone". The boys' laughter was "indelible in the hippocampus", she said. She began by expressing sympathy for Ford, who'd said she was "terrified" to testify, saying, "I just wanted to let you know, I'm very sorry".

Trump defended Kavanaugh, now a federal appeals court judge, at a NY news conference, but the president's comments injected another note of uncertainty into Kavanaugh's already troubled bid for a lifetime appointment to the nation's highest court.

He said Democrats "go into a back room and they talk with each other and they laugh at what they're getting away with". "I wish that dang prosecutor would say, 'Listen, I need more than five minutes, and I could take her to the woodshed'".

Of Ramirez, Feinstein said: 'She was at a college party where Kavanaugh exposed himself to her'.

Judge seemed to refer to working at a grocery store in high school in an excerpt from his memoir, "Wasted: Tales of a Gen X Drunk", in a paragraph where he discusses suffering "catastrophic hangovers" that made "getting through the day an Olympic event". Democrats have demanded an FBI investigation and accused Republicans of rushing the nomination process. Cory Gardner, claimed there was an incident in a bar in 1998 when Kavanaugh was working for the independent counsel investigating former President Bill Clinton.

"I was pushed onto the bed and Brett got on top of me".

In his prepared testimony, the 53-year-old appellate judge acknowledges drinking in high school with his friends, but says he's never done anything "remotely resembling" what Ford describes. I denied the allegation immediately, unequivocally, and categorically. He said he has never had a "sexual or physical encounter of any kind" with her. "I look forward to testifying on Thursday about the truth, and defending my good name-and the reputation for character and integrity I have spent a lifetime building-against these last-minute allegations", he wrote.

If he could nominate Founding Father George Washington, Democrats would vote against him because of his shady past, Trump argued, adding that the attacks on Kavanaugh are creating a chilling effect on potential nominees for the Supreme Court and other judicial seats.

The woman also made other accusations in her statement.
