Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo Exchange Punches During Rockets vs Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers teammates Brandon Ingram and Rajon Rondo, along with Houston Rockets star Chris Paul, were suspended without pay Sunday for an on-court fight during the teams' Saturday night game.

L.A. will be without Ingram and Rondo's services Following Saturday's on-court altercation, Brandon Ingram and Rajon Rondo have been suspended for four and three games, respectively.

Paul was to begin serving his suspension on Sunday (Monday in Manila), when the Rockets played again at Staples Center against the Los Angeles Clippers. Both Ingram and Rondo initiated both incidents and should receive the biggest fines and suspensions. However, in-game footage, you can see Paul wipe his face before confronting Rondo. But they could be in much worse predicaments, with Ingram, Rondo or Paul sitting five, seven or even 10 games. During their clash, Harden was charged with an offensive foul which Ingram didn't take well. Video replays showed that Paul appeared to push Rondo in the face, Rondo responded with two attempted punches and Paul then tried to swing back before players from both sides could separate them.

"I don't know, I might rest him (on a) back-to-back", D'Antoni said. Houston won 124-115, spoiling the Lakers' home debut for LeBron James. Houston's Chris Paul was suspended two games.

"We don't want this to happen again", National Basketball Association executive vice president Kiki van de Weghe said. That's blatant disrespect. You don't do that.

"We have so few of these and we're very lucky in that regard, " VanDeWeghe said. Paul alleges Rondo spit in his face which forced Paul to stick a hand in Rondo's.

Of course, Rondo will claim that he didn't mean to spit on Paul. "I think we take this opportunity tonight to go over the things we could have done better and be frustrated", he said.
