All 74 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Characters Have Been Revealed

Nintendo announced that Ken from Street Fighter and Incineroar from Pokemon are the final characters in Super Smash Bros. Let us all know by posting a comment.

Incineroar's attacks focus on a lot of wrestling type moves, due to its nature as a fighting type Pokemon.

There's still hope for some fan favourites to appear in the game though as Nintendo announced that they will shortly begin work on new (i.e. not echo fighters) characters to be released as paid-for DLC. Ultimate's full-to-bursting roster will get even bigger with at least six DLC characters after the game comes out, and one of them will be free for early adopters. Humorously, the Piranha Plant has left its iconic green pipe and fights out of a pot instead.

Last week's Grinch leak in particular, which gave some Smash fans hope that Banjoe Kazooie and other unusual characters would be added into the game at release, turns out to have clearly been a hoax. You'll explore a map and encounter other fighters.

They can also be used to power up amiibo characters.

This mode takes the place of previous Smash games offering tons of trophies from the represented Nintendo franchises. Set to run approximately 40 minutes, today's Smash-centric Nintendo Direct will begin at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.

And Ken far from Ryu's shadow.

What about the sixth DLC character? All the characters won't be known yet, but the pass is $24.99.

We did, however, get a sneak peak of the next addition -none other than the Piranha Plant from the Super Mario series, who's now able to potter around the game's stages in its, eh, plant pot while wreaking havoc on Mario and others.
