Blass also notes that the Galaxy S10 will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner using ultrasonic technology, similar to the OnePlus 6T.

Some exciting stuff there, but I'm somewhat concerned about a display with a circle cutout off to the side. The W2019 is the latest in a line of foldable phones from the makers of the Galaxy Note 9 with a price tag that would make even the most die-hard iPhone fans blush.

Exynos 9820 is the first Samsung system-on-chip that sports a dedicated AI chip, following closely in the footsteps of Huawei's Kirin 980 and Apple's A12 Bionic. The firm repeatedly signaled it's not interested in adopting such cutouts but it's also short of alternatives that would still allow it to continue improving the screen-to-body ratio of its devices. The new chip marks Samsung's 4th generation of custom CPU cores, with the Exynos 9820 opting for a tri-cluster setup consisting of a custom dual-core cluster combined with 2 Cortex-A75 cores and 4 Cortex-A55 cores.

The rumour has that the Galaxy S10 will be the first to feature a "punch hole" selfie camera.

Samsung is expected to start mass producing the new Exynos 9820 before the end of the year. DJ Koh, the Chief Executive Officer of Samsung's mobile division, also promised "significant" changes with the Galaxy S10 family this September.

According to a report by South Korea-based Yonhap News Agency, the folding smartphone that Samsung teased at the Developer Conference last week won't be a secret much longer. "With hardware and software working together in harmony, see only what you need, using and viewing your phone with an experience that feels second nature".
