EPL: Sarri confirms two Chelsea players who will miss Crystal Palace clash

Sarri faced continued questioning from reporters about the decision to move him into the middle, but sees no issue with using Hazard's flexibility to play in both roles.

Responding to suggestions Chelsea have little control over the situation, Sarri told reporters: "I don't think so". This will help him to play more consistently at the highest level and it will also help the Blues hierarchy to gauge whether he is genuine first-team material.

"We have two problems".

Would you like to see Fabregas stay, or shall we sell him while we can still get a fee in return?

"But I don't feel I play better".

"We do a lot of tactical work, and you can see on the pitch we have improved a lot from a year ago", he explained. It's not just fun'.

Hazard has constantly been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and speculation is now rife that he may bid farewell to the Blues as his current contract is coming to an end at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old playmaker has been in fine form for Maurizio Sarri's side so far this season, with the Belgian having netted his 100th and 101st goals for Chelsea FC in the 2-1 win at Watford on Boxing Day.

"We have adapted to the new system". The manager is talking a lot to us which is good'.

Hazard has revealed that every time an opposing defender attempts to kick him out of action, he only grows stronger and more determined to conjure something special. I think it's normal.

'But now I take care of my ankles, my knees!

Asked if that meant Chelsea potentially selling Hazard in January rather than at the end of the season, he added: "I don't know, but I think it's right that the club knows the future and has the chance to programme [plan] the future".
