Mortal Kombat 11 PS4 Beta Announced, Access Locked to Pre-Orders

A new challenger has appeared on the Mortal Kombat 11 roster.

It includes the game, a steelbook, special packaging as well as a full scale replica Scorpion mask, which is pretty damn cool. Oh Mortal Kombat, you have no idea.

NetherRealm revealed Chronica, the series' first female boss, in another behind-the scenes video and teased us with the prospect of versions of klassic characters from different points in the timeline going head-to-head. Shao Khan was also confirmed as a pre-order bonus, as well.

The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control of your fighters to make them your own.

The WWE wrestler, who is also a former Olympic bronze medalist and UFC fighter, posted a photo to Instagram yesterday announcing that she'll be attending the reveal event for the brutal fighting game series' eleventh outing.

Watch the game footage and Rousey appearance below. A minute-long trailer was released at the event that shows off the graphic update to Fatalities.

Beyond those three, we can certainly expect the Mortal Kombat staples of Sub-ZeRo, Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, and Johnny Cage to show up. If you're not there in person, you can tune into the live stream!

Last time it was Goro, while this time pre-order customers will be able to fight as Shao Kahn.

Since the release of Mortal Kombat 9 in 2011, the franchise has been reinvigorated and has reestablished itself as one of the best and bloodiest games out there.

In terms of story, this game picks up directly after Mortal Kombat X, with the opening cinematic revealing the moment Raiden beheaded the defeated Shinnok.
