Pregnant duchess laughs after being called 'a fat lady' during charity visit

The Sentebale fundraiser saw the royal mom-to-showed that "Markle Sparkle" in a sequinned Roland Mouret gown as she sweetly cradled her bump and held her husband's hand. It's hard to make out exactly what the woman is saying, but it sounds like, "May the good Lord only bless you".

Meghan The Duchess of Sussex pats Jack Russel dog called "Minnie" during her visit to Mayhew animal welfare charity on Wednesday Jan. 16, 2019, to meet with volunteers to hear about welfare initiatives, community engagement and global projects carried out by the charity.

Her stretchy "Mama" dress from H&M's maternity range will no doubt be flying off the shelves.

"The Duchess has spent many years championing animal welfare, and we are honoured to have our charity represented by such a passionate Patron", Mayhew CEO Caroline Yates said in a statement via Kensington Palace.

The National Theater and The Association of Commonwealth Universities are patronages passed to Markle from the Queen, while Smart Works and Mayhew are a new part of Markle's portfolio.

Meghan - who is expecting her first baby in spring 2019 - delighted royal fans by ditching designer for high-street today.

It seems even royals aren't immune from awkward comments.

Mayhew is one of Markle's new royal patronages, a fitting choice as the former actress has always been passionate about animals.

Animal charity Mayhew works with cats and dogs - including family pets or companions for the homeless - to support local communities through welfare projects, reflecting the Duchess' love for animals.

ITV News royal editor Chris Ship reported via Twitter on Monday that Markle told one woman in the crowd while visiting the English town of Birkenhead with Prince Harry that she is 6 months pregnant, and told another woman the due date is around April.
