Resident Evil 2 Post-Launch DLC And Free Update Announced

I get it, I get it.

Capcom is set to bring back the beloved Resident Evil 2 in remade form later this week, and the response so far has been nothing short of glowing.

Resident Evil 2 will get the classic costumes from the PS1 original for both Leon and Claire. In our Resident Evil 2 review we felt it was a fantastic reimagining of its source material, a 1998 PS1 game by the same name. Much like certain DLC stories in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, it seems as though the development team has once again focused on gameplay and atmosphere a bit more than matching up lip syncing to voice acting.

Resident Evil 2 is just a couple of days away from its massively anticipated release, and Capcom just released its launch trailer. We're here to give you all the answers you need in that regard.

Resident Evil 2 PS4 Pro vs Xbox One - what to buy it on? The first volume will include two new playable characters, namely the mayor's daughter Katherine and a USS member called Robert Kendo, and there will also be at least one new enemy type that doesn't appear in the main game.

Resident Evil for the Nintendo Switch does not now have a release date.

Resident Evil 2 releases on January 25 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, so make sure to check out the available pre-order bonuses while there's still time.

For those looking to try out the game before it hits shelves, a 30 minute demo is now available on Steam, the Xbox Games Store and the PlayStation store. But don't worry, there's not long to go now.
