Ozil has fallen out of favour under Emery at Arsenal, prompting reports he could leave in January or at the end of the season.

Arsenal are believed to be interested in using the funds procured from Ozil's departure to try and delve into the transfer market in a bid to remain in pursuit of their targets.

He was fit and available for last weekend's defeat to West Ham but manager Unai Emery chose to leave him at home - for tactical reasons.

"I want every player to be okay for every match and he is the same".

"I like to create the same spirit for all, and that spirit is every players gets and gives consistent work and moments with their performances but it's not easy", Emery said.

And when asked about Ozil potentially leaving in January, Arsenal's manager responded: "I am not thinking about that".

"It's true that every time I play from the start I try to bring something to the team, to play my part".

During the past couple of months, the player has seen limited game time under the new boss and the situation has gotten so bad that the German has not even made it to the matchday squads during the past couple of matches. I am thinking about how he can help us.

Olivier Giroud told ESPN FC in an exclusive interview that he has found it "difficult" to adapt to not being Maurizio Sarri's first-choice striker at Chelsea, but insisted that he will keep fighting to play regularly at Stamford Bridge.

"Today the normality is working with him", Emery said. "We had two or three meetings together and we are working normally".

Both sides are now bidding for a top four spot and a place in next season's Champions League.
