Victor Oladipo Injury: NBA Players React on Twitter

Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo was carried out of Wednesday night's game on a stretcher after he suffered a serious right knee injury in the second quarter against the Toronto Raptors.

Oladipo will undergo an MRI exam on Thursday to determine the severity of the knee injury, but the Pacers fear it's season-ending. Oladipo will undergo an MRI on Thursday, Jan. 24. The bucket was the final mark on one of Young's finest games of the season, a 23-point, 15-rebound performance to lead the Pacers in the emotional win.

It was the same knee that caused Oladipo to miss 11 games in November and December.

Oladipo was hurt in Wednesday's 110-106 win over Toronto when he got tangled up with Raptors forward Pascal Siakam while trying to chase him down.

Throughout the league, players - including Miami's Hassan Whiteside - have already taken to social media to offer their condolences.

"We've got to come together and play inspired basketball", Myles Turner said.

"That kid has a attractive spirit about him", said head coach Nate McMillan.

"It's unfortunate. He's a special player and a special person", McMillan said.

Former Pacers star Paul George, who severely injured his leg while playing with Team USA in 2014 and missed nearly all of the following season, sent "positive vibes" Oladipo's way while asking that "everybody pray" for the latter.

Pacers officials were preparing for the worst: the loss of the franchise's most important player as the team competes with the elite of the Eastern Conference. "We can't let this get us stuck in the mud".

Coach Nick Nurse said he hasn't yet started considering what he'll do with a full roster.

Thaddeus Young had 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Pacers on Wednesday.

The Pacers will have a few night off to regroup before returning to the court in Memphis on Saturday night.
