Vince Wilfork Will Serve As Patriots’ Honorary Captain For AFC Title Game

Before Sunday's kickoff, Gina and her co-anchor in Kansas City did a little trash talking to Patriots fans in our area made a little wager with us. But after a demolition of the Los Angeles Chargers in the Divisional Round, many National Football League analysts believe Tom Brady and Co. will keep rolling to their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

Rob Gronkowski #87 of the New England Patriots runs the ball after making a catch as Josh Shaw #30 of the Kansas City Chiefs defends in the fourth quarter at Gillette Stadium on October 14, 2018 in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Chiefs are 3-point favorites to beat the Patriots.

After the Patriots shredded the Los Angeles Chargers 41-28, Brady seemed to enjoy playing the underdog card when asked about facing the Chiefs. Quarterback Tom Brady passed for 340 yards and a touchdown that night, while running back Sony Michel pounded out 106 yards on the ground.

The Chiefs just overpowered the physical Indianapolis Colts, who previously had been the hottest team in the NFL.

Even though the past Super Bowl participants haven't played a single road game in the last 10 years or so, you can never ever count out the Patriots this deep into the playoffs. The Patriots survived the shootout because Brady did what he does best: leading his team up the field with under a minute left to set up kicker Stephen Gostkowski for the game-winning field goal as time expired.
