Ariana Grande will be noticeably absent from this weekend's Grammy Awards.

Singer, Ariana Grande will not be performing at the Grammy Awards after reportedly falling out with the show's producers.

However, Grande was then said to have pulled out altogether after producers insisted "the second song be of their choosing".

Ehrlich told The Associated Press on Thursday that the Recording Academy wanted Ariana to perform after having 'conversations over the past month or so'.

She's been nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance for God Is A Woman and Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener.

The pop sensation was apparently left "insulted" after producers of the GRAMMYs wouldn't let her perform her most recent single, "7 rings". However, the 'Thank U, Next!' singer has a great 2019 lined up for her fans in terms of her music.

She adds that she's "still grateful for the acknowledgement this year", but she will not be attending the show.

The news of Grande's dispute with the Grammys over song choice was first reported by Hits.

Grande, who kept quiet when asked about the issue this week, now claims the award show powers that be are "lying" about the reason she dropped out. I want to do it on my own terms from now on'.

Grande went on to claim that she "offered 3 different songs" but didn't ultimately feel supported by the producers. Just two days before the Grammys, Ariana is all set to release her brand new single from the "Thank U, Next" album.

Grande is far from a new face on the scene, but this past year has been an especially prominent one for her.
