Kylie Jenner Becomes Youngest 'Self-Made' Billionaire at 21 Years Old

The digital dictionary source responded to a Forbes report last July, that projected a then-20-year-old Jenner would become the "youngest self-made billionaire ever, " surpassing Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at 23.

While Jenner's $1 billion net worth is nothing to scoff at, she's actually ranked 2,057 on Forbes' list this year.

Of her success, she added: "I didn't expect anything". I did not foresee the future.

Is Kylie Jenner is self-made?

@YerrBoyJosh joked: "Kylie jenner at 21 is a billionaire off make up and her family name im bouta change my name to kardashian put on a wig shove a pillow where my ass is to look like one of them and drop some shit". Her company is set to be worth an estimated $900 million. Self-made can also mean building a company or establishing a fortune on his or her own, instead of inheriting the fortune. The main source of her fortune, Kylie Cosmetics, for example, was founded in 2016 with a modest $250,000 Jenner earned from modeling and advertising.

Step aside, Mark Zuckerberg. "But the term is very broad", the magazine acknowledges, "and does not adequately reflect how far some people have come and, relatively speaking, how much easier others have had it". Its research found that the total number of billionaires had declined over the past year from 2,208 to 2,153.

Jenner, who is now 21, is founder and owner of Kylie Cosmetics, a three-year-old business that saw approximately $360 million in sales in 2018.

Kylie Jenner might be unlucky in friendship, but she sure is lucky in business.

Her success can mainly be credited to her sensational make-up line Kylie cosmetics which has enjoyed unbelievable success. 11 percent of billionaires (247 people) on the 2018 Forbes' Billionaire list have been knocked off, "the most since 2009 at the height of the global financial crisis", Forbes said.

Kylie Cosmetics' revenue climbed nine per cent to an estimated $500 million AUD past year. She mostly runs the company using her iPhone, and if you follow her on Instagram, you will notice that she regularly promote new products from the company.
