Nicolas Cage's wife won't contest annulment request

Nicolas Cage's wife won't contest annulment request

If the court refuses his request, he wants a divorce, the filing noted.

It looks like Nicolas Cage's honeymoon phase with Erika Koike only lasted for a couple of days!

Again, this comes just a few days after they legally got married in Las Vegas.

It is not clear what happened and The Blast reports the new bride has not yet been served with the legal papers.

The union was the "Con Air" actor's fourth marriage.

On top of that, the Oscar victor claims that Koike didn't inform him of her "criminal history", including "additional active criminal proceedings". He married his first wife, actress Patricia Arquette, in April 1995 and the two later divorced in 2001.

The couple got married in sin city and as per Daily Mail's eyewitness Cage appeared to be "very out of it" and was "most likely drunk". He reportedly proposed to the Medium star on the day they met.

He said: "I don't really count those two marriages, I don't think they belong on my record".

Soon after, he met 20-year-old waitress Alice Kim. Cage also has another son with former girlfriend Christina Fulton.

Since the marriage is so new, they may actually be able to get an annulment instead of going through the lengthy, expensive and stressful process of getting a divorce and that is exactly what Cage made a decision to do.
