The first trailer for Game of Thrones' final season is officially here

Fans have been waiting almost two years for the final season of the Emmy-winning HBO drama - which returns next month - and anticipation for the trailer has been through the roof with viewers clamoring on social media for the video in response to every drop of news about the upcoming season.

Jaime Lannister is also seen, speaking the solemn words: 'I promised to fight for the living, I intend to keep that promise'.

Teasing that fans are going to see a new side to her character, she told Entertainment Weekly: "Sansa this season is very much enjoying becoming a leader in her own right".

The drama's showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss said that they hoped viewers would enjoy the way they had ended the series, but said they were prepared for some viewers to "hate" its conclusion.

Forget winter, the Army of the Dead is coming.

There is a lot of curiosity about Cersei's fate in the final season and during an interaction recently, Lena revealed that she was "devastated" post the final filming of the season. The final season of Game of Thrones begins on April 14. Not just in terms of 'this shot or that shot, ' though sometimes it's that as well. We'd be lurking over their shoulder every takes driving them insane making it hard for them to do their job.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves.
