Tyson Fury Destroys Tom Schwarz on ESPN+, Calls Out Deontay Wilder

Fury revealed that he is scheduled to fight again on 21 September or 5 October in NY, and that the rematch with Wilder, the WBC champion, will then become his priority in the first half of 2020.

The Wilder rematch could eclipse the pay-per-view record of 4.8m buys set by the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao bout in 2015, said Fury's U.S. promoter Bob Arum.

Fulfilling a lifelong ambition of finally fighting in the "Sin City", at the revered MGM Grand, he showed a destructive edge he has rarely previously demonstrated to justify the significant interest he has generated in the United States since his fight with Deontay Wilder.

"I came here to put on a show for Las Vegas and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did", Fury said.

Although Fury had to relinquish his titles during his ring absence, he is still the heavyweight division's lineal champion as the man who beat Klitschko.

And after the bout, Fury showed off his decent singing voice in what's becoming a post-fight tradition, giving promoters and fans a glimpse of what he brings to the table inside and outside the ring. "I put on an extra 12 pounds, and I could really feel (the power)".

He added: "Tonight was Tyson Fury, Las Vegas".

Channeling his inner Apollo, Fury made his way to the ring dressed head to toe in stars and stripes, with a top hat to match, similar to what Carl Weathers' character wore in the Rocky films. It's the biggest fight in world boxing, and the biggest we'll see for the next few years.

A thunderous right hand put Schwartz on the floor, and his corner threw in the towel just seconds later to give Fury the win.

Fury has continued to work his way back from a 31-month layoff where he battled mental illness and weight gain.

Fury is unlikely to fight in Britain any time soon.

Fury, who is known as The Gypsy King, has won 28 fights (20 of them by knockout) since the beginning of his professional boxing career in 2008, remaining unbeaten.

"There are two networks, and it's 50-50". 'Even when you got hit with a shot and you were hurt, you fired straight back and that stands for a lot. First quarter of next year.

But Fury accepted this bout to stay sharp while he waits for a chance at the world's other two elite heavyweights - actually, make that three after Ruiz's shocker.
