Chick-Fil-A offers free entrees if you dress as a cow

Well, break out your best cow costume and grab a free meal at Chick-Fil-A.

Get your cow costumes ready!

Chick-fil-A began celebrating Cow Appreciation Day in 2005 and participation has grown each year as the company has expanded across the country.

Chick-fil-A has several restaurants in Southern California including locations in Ventura, Chino Hills, Torrance, Hollywood, City Of Industry, Downey, Newport Beach, Los Angeles, Norwalk, and more.

Food is on the house at Chick-fil-A restaurants if you dress "udderly insane".

The freebie includes: an Egg White Grill or Chicken Biscuit at breakfast; or an Original Chicken Sandwich or Grilled Nuggets at lunch or dinner.

More than 2,400 stores will be participating and the offer is good from opening until 7 p.m. For those nervous to wear a full cow-costume, a co- themed accessory will also be sufficient enough to receive free food.

Chick-fil-A is famous for the "Eat Mor Chicken" cows, and this year's Cow Appreciation Day marks the 24th anniversary of the marketing campaign, Jon Bridges, Chick-fil-A's senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said.
