LeBron James To Start At Point Guard For Lakers

Per Yahoo's Chris Haynes, the Lakers intend to move James to point guard when the 2019-2020 season begins, with newly-inked Danny Green as his backcourt mate.

The Lakers did not release any details about the deals but the USA media reported that Cousins' deal is for one year and worth $3.5 million.

While in a holding pattern awaiting Kawhi Leonard's free agency decision, the Lakers missed out on the carousel of National Basketball Association point guards over the last week.

Wojnarowski also reports the Miami Heat had interest in signing the six-time All-Star, but that Cousins was swayed by the influence of several Lakers players, including Davis.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis will have another big name on their team the coming season.

Alex Caruso, Quinn Cook and veteran Rajon Rondo, who started 29 games at the position last season, are the other recognized point guards on the roster.

The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to sign multiple free agents to the team in light of Kawhi Leonard's decision to sign with the Clippers late on Friday night.

The Lakers were in need of interior players, and with the market mostly dried up, this was a flawless fit for both sides.

His deal is said to be for two years and $16 million.

Rondo is returning to the Lakers on a two-year deal, Wojnarowski reported.

James and Davis are second and third, respectively, in National Basketball Association history for player efficiency rating.

Now constructed, the Lakers were fielding a team of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kyle Kuzma, and Jared Dudley. McGee averaged a career-best 12.0 points to go with 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in just 22.3 minutes per game last season.
