Bayern Munich Keen To Sign Barcelona Star On Loan

Barcelona have been willing to let Coutinho leave all summer as they look to free up funds to make a move for Neymar.

Despite the interest from Spurs, Pique is desperate to see Barcelona keep hold of Coutinho but admits his colleague's happiness must come first.

Coutinho is set to move to Tottenham for a fee of €23m and Spurs will also cover 100 per cent of his €12m salary.

Coutinho's time at Barcelona has not gone to plan, while Liverpool achieved an incredible points tally of 97 last season and lifted their sixth European trophy.

It's stressed that a move to either club will depend on what happens with Christian Eriksen, who has been linked with a move away from Tottenham throughout the summer and is now believed to be on United's transfer radar.

Now there seems to be yet another twist to the transfer saga with ESPN claiming that the Gunners were never interested in signing Philippe Coutinho but now Spurs are seemingly keen to bring him on board for the upcoming season. Now Spurs have moved to tie up a deal with Juve before tomorrow's transfer window closes, with manager Mauricio Pochettino said to have played an active role in the agreement between the two clubs.

On Tuesday afternoon, a spate of articles emerged in the Spanish and French media claiming Philippe Coutinho was being offered around the Premier League.

Spurs are now being linked with Juventus talisman Paulo Dybala and an update on the same can be expected soon.

'You already know about my relationship with Ney and we would be happy to have him here [but] he plays for PSG and my opinion doesn't change anything'.

The French midfielder is "in the process" of negotiating his exit from Manchester United, according to agent Mino Raiola, and it is Real Madrid who have been closely associated with him.
