Microsoft is bringing dark mode to Outlook on iOS, Android

Do note the dark mode in Microsoft Outlook App is now available in both the iOS and Android App. Microsoft's new feature is expected to roll out today. From that point forward, Dark Mode will come to Planner and OneDrive on the web too. "With a dark appearance for all user interface elements, your app's content becomes the focus", the company said in a short August 29 post titled "Get Ready for Dark Mode". Nearly a year later, it seems we're just about to get one, as Windows Central has received was it says are official renders picturing the app's dark theme running on Android. A darker - but hopefully not angsty - colour palette that introduces a "dramatic new look" to iOS, while also ensuring that the UI is easy on the eyes. Dark Mode for office user will have the same feature in the coming days.

iOS users can choose to adopt a system-wide light or dark appearance.

Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on mobile are set to pick up their dark mode treatments alongside the launch of iOS 13 later this year. When iOS 13 drops next month, it'll extend the rollout of Dark Mode to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, Planner and To-Do on mobile.

Apple has recently reminded developers to get ready for Dark Mode by taking advantage of the new iOS 13 APIs that will automatically enable it, and pointing to resources on how to optimize and test apps for Dark Mode. Otherwise, the update takes the Outlook app to version 3.0.137.

Looking at that list makes you realize that Microsoft actually has a lot of useful apps now in the market. Also, if you like our efforts, consider sharing this story with your friends, this will encourage us to bring more exciting updates for you.
